If your envelope specification cannot be met by a stock product, Mail Solutions can offer you a complete bespoke envelope manufacturing service to produce almost any envelope design required.

Flexo Printed Envelopes

With both reel and blank fed facilities available, we can manufacture a full range of envelope styles (i.e. wallets, pockets etc.), shapes, sizes, seals, with or without windows, produced from an assortment of paper grades and in any quantity.

Our reel-fed machines primarily manufacture gummed mailing envelopes, offering up to four colour flexo print on the outside and an opaque in any colour. Producing directly from a reel, these machines operate at high production speeds and provide a cost effective solution to large volume envelope requirements.

Added to the large selection of knives, our versatile blank-fed machinery is able to cater for those really unique envelope designs (i.e. bangtails, extended flaps, perforations, multiple windows) presenting a choice of sealing closures (gummed, self seal and peel & seal), along with internal and external flexo printing available. In addition, this envelopes production process is capable of converting a wide selection of coated and uncoated papers, colours, textures and weights, including FSC and PEFC grades.

If in the unlikely event we do not stock the necessary envelope or window knife needed for your requirement, we would then look at the possibility of ordering a new knife made to your specification, quickly and efficiently.

To ensure customers receive colour accurate flexo print on their envelopes, our water-based ink mixing system is able to generate the complete choice of colours in the pantone range.

Litho Flat Sheet Conversion

Utilising a combination of our cutting presses and blank-fed equipment, we are able to punch out and convert litho pre-printed sheets into a vast array of envelope specifications, as outlined above.

Your pre-printed sheets can be printed with any full colour design and include a choice of quality finishes such as non-rub sealing and spot sealing; thus making this process an ideal solution for direct marketing mailings.

Mail Solutions generally manufactures envelopes using paper sourced through its own network of suppliers; however, upon request, we would be more than happy to accept sheets supplied by the customer, as long as the material is compatible with our equipment.

PPS Licence

Mail Solutions is one of very few companies in the UK to hold a PPS (Postage Paid Symbol) licence, allowing us to print 1st or 2nd Class phosphorous registered postage paid impressions on your envelopes. This service is ideally suited for very small targeted mailings, as the phosphor bars give your envelopes a prestigious feel and can help increase response rates.
